Description: IAKING – whose Chinese name is He Haiqing – literally translates as “Purity of water, rivers and the sea.” This design was conceived in both a strong, dynamic, vibrant form, and a softer, gentler, muted style for added versatility. The background in each suggests the ripples of water in an abstracted way upon which further layers of imagery can float and interact. The large central fish complimenting and mirroring each other are a common theme in East Asian art – symbolizing wealth, prosperity and abundance. The eternal replenishment seen in the natural world. The composition is further embellished with smaller and varied marine life, the interplay of these motifs creates visual movement and rhythms within the design that recalls the timeless and eternal flow and freedom of rivers and oceans
